I've seen about 9 episodes of season 1 now and can't get enough of this wonderful show!! Jack definately rules the Rock, and Danno, Chin, Kono and the lads down at HPD are just brilliant. I've gotta get me an air ticket to see all those locations. I also have to mention the great Mort Stevens and his outstanding score for season 1 [The season 1 version of the main theme was always the best in my book]. Nothing but great quality all round, and takes me back to when I was 11yrs old.

Bought the DVD box of the first season today. Excellent quality of image and sound. It feels so good to watch this fantastic TV show again. Watching those tantalizing images of Hawaii at the beginning of every episode again made me feel like the amazed 7-year-old boy I was when I first watched the show in 1969.

Finally after all these years it is out. I love it. On school nights I got too stay up late too, watch Hawaii Five Oh (during orignal years). The DVD quality is very good. So far 6 episodes and I may have only seen one. Can't wait to finish watching season one, and will be at the store, the first day for season two.

I love the dvd set. I really enjoyed the opportunity to watch all of the episodes unedited and uncut. I saw the original Hawaii Five-O pilot movie "Cocoon" in it's original format for the first time in my life. The screen that appeared before the pilot movie was very informative and we learn there that the pilot movie was re-edited and rebroadcast as a two-part episode at the end of the season. I saw two other episodes that were missing from the rerun syndication packages. This is a very refreshing experience after many years of taping the episodes and never getting all the episodes. I would recommend that all Hawaii Five-O fans buy the Season #1 dvd. I have good news regarding the Seaso #2 dvd. It's scheduled to be released on July 31st.

I was in Wal-mart the other day and I couldn't believe my eyes. Hawaii Five-O on DVD. I bought it right away. I have never seen the pilot episode and that whole torture thing in the cocoon was scary. I am really enjoying it and looking forward to more seasons coming out soon.

I am really enjoying the first season. I have strong memories of this show from my youth (we used to play "Hawaii 5-0" like other kids played cops and robbers). Especially interested in Jack Lords life, from what I have read and heard he was an extremely strong leader and mentor who was committed to developing many of the actors on the show. He was demanding on others and himself. Like a true leader he was not always popular and chose to maintain distance between himself and the other actors. I actually believe there are many management and leadership lessons to be learnt from Jack Lords life. Perhasp I will start to compile. I think he would have been a great motivational speaker. He knew exactly what he was trying to accomplish, he was obviously highly intelligent and well prepared to take advantage of the opportunities. I also admire the close relationship he had with his wife Marie, he obviously drew much strenghth from her. Wish I could have met Jack Lords.

Finally it is out on DVD... I couldn't wait to buy it after watching some of the shows on the local station. I have been a big 5-0 fan since I was a kid... Watching that show growing up actually got me interested in Hawaii and I joined the Navy and met my wife in Hawaii. Thanks 5-0...

In the 70s when I was a little kid i remember my dad watching the show every sunday night, we would watch from the top of the dark stairs (out of sight). It was my first introduction to cop shows and remains my favourite as i still watch on tv1

I grew up watching Hawaii-Five-O and wondered when it would be syndicated like a lot of other shows. I was greatly thrilled when it was announced of the first season release and pre-ordered it from Amazon.Com. I have been waiting for future releases and will purchase every season. Before the release came out I would always download the theme which is one of the greates and one of my favorites. I won't get bored even viewing reruns of this show.

Lovin' It! I bought the first season DVD set, it's great! I'll buy each season as released. Until then I'll continue to watch my "counterfeit set". I'd say "Thanks CBS for releasing this set" but I'll save that for after season 12 is released and I've bought it!

I grew up in Hawaii from 1972 through 1978 and saw the show filmed in quite a few locations through out my time in Hawaii. I met Jack Lord at a military retirement event at Hickam AFB and saw Zulu around town a few times. The cast was well respected and loved by all and gave back to Hawaii alot. Reading your web page took me back to a fun time in my life. Thank you for keeping the memories alive...Aloha, can I still say that evn if I live in Ohio now?
