Pretty good episode.
I agree with your review.
I also was annoyed by the high powered weaponry failing to bust through the ambulance's windows. Furthermore, the bullets DID penetrate the doors, so how come no one inside got shot?
When they sprayed the back of the ambulance with high powered machine gun fire, and Danno was directly in its line, I laughed when he quickly scurried away and somehow wasn't hit.
Lori Petty did a good job playing the quirky but brave nurse. She's unrecognizable from 25 years ago, when she starred in "A League of Their Own."
The Five-0 visit to the drug lord was weird. As Mike pointed out, the entire thing went nowhere, and the entire purpose of it (to ask the guy to "call it off") was odd in the first place. The last we saw of that visit, Chin started to get rough with him, but suddenly his young son appeared out of nowhere and asked what was wrong. After being told (in Spanish) that everything was okay, the scene cut, and we never saw any reference to it again. Were further scenes involving this situation edited out?
McGarrett driving the truck through the front door, while dramatic, was a bit foolish. How did he know he wouldn't hit any of the good guys?
Was Five-0 on the hook for what appears to be several hundred thousand dollars worth of damage to the house they commandeered?

I remember Lori Petty in the 90s action classic POINT BREAK (with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves) and she had these really big gorgeous blue eyes! That's what stayed with me about her. Mostly though she seemed to play these weird chick types, none of which I would be interested in. Remember her starring role as a weird superhero chick in TANK GIRL? I still remember the trailers for it back in the 90s. Of course I never saw it.
