Season 9 Classic HFO had excellent episodes but Yes, My Deadly Daughter was one of its finest. Who would believe a sweet, attractive Asian woman had this dark, evil side? Outstanding acting by the mob boss who had millions of dollars stolen from him by the Wu-Chings. Jerry great as the boyfriend & leader of the Wu-Chings double-crossed and murdered by Varna. He's one of the right-hand men of the mob boss. I know some Classic HFO fans didn't like the ending but Varna could have called late at night to tell them the location of the $. Love McG directing Chin from the copter as Varna tried to escape in the high foliage.
by ringfire211 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 11:54 amIt's not a Five-O classic for me but it's nevertheless quite good. I especially like how ruthless and ambitious sweet little Lee Mei Lieu is. She really did have a Jekyll and Hyde side to her. Wasn't afraid to double cross her mob boss father or his enforcer or her criminal gang leader boyfriend. The girl sure had some stones!!
The ending in the rainforest reminded me of the ending in "Legacy of Terror". Might have even been filmed at the same location. "Legacy" is a better episode though.
by John Chergi » Wed Mar 29, 2017 6:14 pmSeason 9 probably the last Excellent season of Classic HFO. Season 10 had more than its share of clunkers... When Does A War End? for example. I think Yes, My Deadly Daughter slides in the Top 20-25 episodes of series for me. Really no plot mistakes and Lee Mei shined. I think the same actress played in Deadly Courier as well. MCG makes me laugh when Lee Mei is in the passenger's side and he says: "Why are you telling me this?"

by John Chergi » Mon May 15, 2017 3:17 pmI'm surprised more HFO regulars don't mention Yes, My Deadly Daughter as one of the best in the series or Season 9. Excellent acting and no real pot holes. The only minor quibble is Che piecing together the burned map that Lee Mei charred right before Varna arrived. The flame should have destroyed the evidence. JC
