A reissue of the "complete" set (without Bored She Hung Herself, of course) is being released on April 18th. The price on this has dropped from the suggested list of over $170 to around $130 at Amazon -- https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B06WD4D8FC
It was pointed out to me that the number of discs in this set was one less (72 versus 73) than in the previous "complete" set -- https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00EC9UHVM -- leading to speculation that it would not be containing the bonus disc mentioned in Jeff's review: http://fiveohomepage.com/jeff-box-set.html
I contacted the boss of CBS Home Entertainment and he confirmed this.
by H50 1.0 FOREVER* » Wed Mar 01, 2017 7:53 pmThis is good news. It means there's still a market for the DVDs. That's quite a feather in H50's hat 49-1/2 years after the series began, 37-1/2 years after it ended, 10 years after the first DVDs were released, and 5 years after the last DVDs were released.
Few things endure like that -- maybe the odd '69 or '70 Sedan DeVille or the even rarer 1960 Jaguar pre-electrics. For the most part, old TV shows fall in the same category as "Who remembers vice presidents?"
