A fellow named Ed sent me the following:
I have some additional trivia for the season 5 episode “Pig in a Blanket”. The football game that is on TV in the Attic Bar is being played between the Baltimore Colts and the Oakland Raiders. You can tell by the field that they are playing in Oakland, CA. The only time that these two teams played in Oakland prior to this 1972 episode is Nov. 28, 1971. It is interesting that the Colts won that game 37 to 14. The final score of the game on the TV was 31 to 30 with Kicker Jim O’Brien kicking a last second field goal to win it. They must have dubbed in a different paly by play to make it sound real close to the end. Jim O’Brien did kick a last second field goal to win Super Bowl V on Jan. 17, 1971 but that was against the Dallas Cowboys. I did not live in the Islands in the 1970’s but I was visiting on an annual basis. I don’t remember watching any live football at that time but I do remember that all Network TV shows were shown on a tape delay (1 week after being shown on the mainland). This lasted until the early 1990’s. So, more than likely NFL football would have been on a tape delay. Showing the games at night would have made more sense. When I get a chance, I will ask some of my friend that were living here at that time.

So dubbing in a new voice over footage to indicate a different type of outcome would have been normal.
