Wonder what are your FAV Duke episodes in the series. I guess it starts with Death Is A Company Policy for me. Bryce Halsey does a masterful job in framing Duke making him appear to be a crooked cop with payoffs. McG is able to break down the frame with ADA Chris as the leak. I like Stringer too when Duke is thrown from the car and survives an Alika-sponsored gunshot-induced blowout. Duke has an arm sling and sore all over but he's tough. Duke has a cool karate chop scene in the junkyard scuffling with Lucien's assistant in Elegy In A Rain Forest. Duke has some good moments in Season 11 minus Chin Ho who was killed off end of Season 10. I like when McG sends Duke to Portland, Oregon in Death Mask for some investigating on Alicia Warren and Jill Baker. Duke also shows his running and stamina chasing down Sonny K when he's trying to escape from the bus terminal in Number One With A Bullet. What are your FAV "Duke" moments or episodes in HFO? John
by John H » Mon Jul 18, 2016 10:15 amA bit off subject if you permit, I just wanted to point out that of all the 5-0 team members I always liked Duke the most as a person. My favorite episodes tend to all be from the early seasons so Duke isn't in them but he was such a pleasure to watch. No nonsense, professional and very likeable. Too bad he wasn't added much earlier, if he had replaced Kono from season 5-12 the show would have been all the better for it.

by ringfire211 » Thu Jul 21, 2016 10:07 amI think it's safe to say that the nickname "Duke" (his real name in "Death is a Company Policy" was revealed to be Edward Lukela) came from the legendary Hawaiian surfer Duke Kahanamoku, whose statue stands proudly on the beach in Waikiki.
Otherwise not too many dukes or duchesses in Hawaii.
by John Chergi » Wed Apr 05, 2017 6:31 amDuke has some good scenes in Deadly Courier. I like when he yells "Danny!" when he refuses to take the courier out the jetway. Duke also tells the crowd to get back when the bomber blows himself up at Hakima's. JC
