AFUSO IS NOT A "BOGUS" JAPANESE NAME AS REPORTED IN SEASON 4. I'LL ADMIT, HOWEVER, THAT IT IS A "GOOFY" JAPANESE SIRNAME BUT HEY, WE'RE OKINAWANS.

Hawaii 5-0 the second Milenium.....The heavy cloud cover breaks over the mountain side Of the Hawaiian island of Oahu,as the heavy rains cease to fall upon the lucious greenery, which can only be found in this south pacific paradise.A rainbow shimmers across the vast rich blue skies, the fragrance of the native flowers fills the freshness of the Hawaiian air.Just coming into view from high in the skies,a private jet ,with markings undecernable but to those islanders of japanese decent makes it's final approach into Honolulu International Airport. Not to be confused with the tourist trade, nor visitors eagerly waiting to conduct business, the occupants of this plane represent the Yokohama Areas most feared resident, the son of the famed Yakusa warload,Master Kinjite's first son,Toronagga Kinjite, and his elete enterage of ruling Yakusa kingpins.yes, they are in hawaii on business, but not the kind of business, one would dare speak of in public.Toranaga is on the islands to oversee the business of one of the largest suppliers of heroin from the orient. Sent there by his father because of concerns of how the business is being run by the yakusa kingpin,Hiroiku,Buntaro. Yabu kinjite, has long suspected Hiroiku, has been skimming from the top,of his profits from the drug trade on the islands.and plans to have him erased from this plain of existance, and send him to live with his long dead relatives in the afterworld.Toranaga Kinjite will become supreme leader of the south pacific asian drug cartell,he is not one to be taken lightly,Many men have lost their heads to his samuri sword which was passed down from his grandfather to his son ,and now to Toranaga.tired after the long flight from Japan,Toranaga and his soldiers, plan to relax, with the massusse, most prized by the Kinjite clan, Madam Sing ,after a dinner fit for a king at Sashime Gardens, one of the many resturants owned by the Yakusa,it is here final arrangements can be worked out, pertaining to Hiroiko's demise, and other business so secret only the most trusted Yakusa soldiers must know about. It seems that Master kinjite is also unpleased with having to share the illegal drug trafficing with the Triad's Honolulu boss,The son of the infamous Wo Fat's first born son,Known only by the name,"The Jade Scorpian",this knickname , given to him at a very early age, because any one not in his favor would die suddenly ,and unknowingly,in violent seisures, from the poison he could inject into his rivals skin by simply using a well practiced toutch of his venem filled Jade ring. Tonight Toranaga learns of a pai gow poker game ,being held at Wo Fats floating casino,a good chance for toranaga and his men to unwind as well as to observe the strength of the forces he will soon plan to overtake,as the truce between the Yakusa, and the Triad wears thin as tensions have already begun between the two most powerful armies the underworld has ever seen.Only one will soon control the islands.Toranagas control of the elete fighting men of the Ninja's Feared secret society have been retained from yokahama, will soon be converging on the islands,as planned by Master Kinjite,to take control of all drug trade in and out of Hawaii. The men relaxed, their stomachs full, they now have Wo Fats limo pick them up,and take the 20 minute drive down the Kamehameeha hwy.to the very secret location to Wo Fat's Gambling house on wheels,Which seldom can be found in the same location twice. Toranaga and his accomplises, have just arrived at the secretly selected area, known only to the limosene driver, and no one else, after all ,Wo Fat must protect his investment. The table is ready, players of highly lucerative reputations, have been arriving, and the evening of gambling is ready to begin......................................................

Hawaii 5-0 The second millinium Starring Tommy Lee Jones as Steve Mc Garratt Tom Cruise as Danno Jackie Chan as Wo Fats illegitimate son Kianna Tom as Detective Mariko Tommadachi Tia Carrerra as Maddam Sing Toshiero Mouffini as the yakusa assasin,Kinjite Its a cool evening in Honolulu, perfect evening for wo fat's floating casino, with some very prominent ,though not unscrupulus players, with hefty bankrolls from Tokyo. At first everything seems to be going smoothly, but this state of euphoria, will soon be a thing of the past. Torranaga Kinjite, first son of the yokohama yakusa warlord Yabu Kinjite, has just made a very large bet on the Pai gow table, his eyes on the dealer, one of Wo Fats personally selected employees, using slight of hand, has switched his cards,in a quick, and seemingly unnoticible movement a card is removed from a wrist clip, hidden well beneath the dealers sleeve, but not fast enough to decieve the trained eye,of the yakusa soldier seated in the 3rd base chair. what will be known as the bloddiest triad / yakusa war on the islands is about to begin right in Mc Garratts backyard. Will 5-0 be able to put an end to the bloody massacre on the streets of Honolulu before the islands are ripped apart in a violant uprising....??? Film at eleven...

Aloha,as a part time kamina,I usually visit Waikiki each spring,I would love to see a remake of 5-0,I really dont see the problem wit the Chin Ho character being dead these past many years,Didn't Mr Cannel ever watch"General Hospital" on the abc daytime soaps,Or see Bobby Ewing, from "Dallas" The is always an easy way to reintroduce a dead character. You can wake him up from his long dream(Bobby)after 2 years, like nothing happened,,you can make him a twin brother,of the deceaced actor who transfered from the vice squad,to Mc Garratts squad, after the unfortunate death scene.you can even bring him out of a lengthy coma(Steven Segal)"hard to kill" ....and say he was under protective custody, because he saw the govenor, and the bad guys, planning to kill someone or something. Remember Grant Putnum,General Hospital around 1984,The D V X agent who stole the real Grants identity, locked him up in a russian prison only to become a "Good guy" and the real Grant to become a deranged homicidial murderer,...He i sent a script to Star Trek Voyager,a few years ago ,they used it,after minor modifications, how about i write a new script ,to fill in the blanks,i dont work cheap though....lol...Maybe i can even get a part in the movie, what do you think?.....Michael Hedges

I grew up watching re-runs of 5-O, and I've wondered when a movie would be made. It's nice to hear thaat one may be in the works soon. However, a new t.v. series would just be a cheap imitation to the work of the original cast and crew. It would be an injustice to see someone the likes of Burt Reynolds or Lee Majors playing the part of the legendary Jack Lord. Please don't do it! I, a faithful watcher of the original would definately not tune in. But I would defineately pay $7.50 to see a feature film with Kurt Russell, or Mel Gibson (Magerret), Chris O'donnell (Dan-O), and WWF wrestler (don't underestimate the entertainment power of the wwf corporation, who have two author/wrestlers whom have made the N.Y. times #1 best seller's list with their own personal books), Rikishi Phatu (as that big islander-looking guy whose name I can never remember). But please no love interests, keep the storyline strictly police or crime related like the show was all those years ago.

KNVA, Channel 12 just dropped "Five-O" from its daily line-up, as of yesterday. I'm hoping, though, that as a Viacom property it might get picked up by TV Land.

In my opinion, no one could ever play the Five-O characters like the original cast. However, I'm looking forward to the movie. The local Austin station (KNVA 54) that Hawaii Five-O comes on dropped the show this week!! I turned the TV on this morning to watch it and unfortunately they had replaced it with RealTV and some kind of shop at home show. I did e-mail them to let them know that I enjoyed the show and hope they put it back on. Mahalo for the site and I'll be visiting it again in the future.

I have been reading alot of the comments, especailly the ones from fans all upset over TV networks dropping the Five-O TV series re-runs. Lets face it,Five-O re-runs have been in syndication, off and on sinse Five-O left primetime in 1980. I really hate to say it,but with the networks; it's all about ratings and money. Even as popular as Hawaii Five-O was and still is to alot of us,there may not be enough dedicated viewers watching to maintain the level of ratings to continue airing Five-O. This could be a result of burnout by viewers,as a result of the networks that have aired it,only picking up a limited number of episodes, instead of the entire twelve seasons and showing those limited episodes over and over until viewers become tired and bored. I beleive once the new movie comes out. It will spark renewed interest in the original TV series, and TV networks all over will bring it back. Hopefully the entire twelve season package next time? In the meantime dedicated FIve-O fans can purchase the ten volumes by Columbia House, and if the is enough interest? Maybe little by little Columbia House may release the entire series? Lets hope for the best.

I've been a fan of Five-O ever since the show aired in September 1968. Since that time I have recorded 185 of the shows on tape, watched all reruns and now KICU 36 TV has taken it off the air. What a bummer! I would like to know if anyone know anything about the movie that is being made. Heard that Rose Freeman and George Ito settled the suite with CBS. But when is the movie coming out? Aloha

As a Hawaii 5-0 fan of some seniority (I saw COCOON and the first season as it was broadcast-I once dropped a Biology class in college because the professor wanted to have the lab on 5-0 night) I want to tell you that I am really amazed and awed by all of the work and devotion that you have put on this web site. It is a great memorial to Jack Lord, Len Freeman, and all of the 5-0 team that they would still be remembered and appreciated in this way after all of these years. I only wish my grandmother, who was a great 5-0 fan, was still living to be able to browse this site. Bet on it!

I just found your site and I'm in heaven! Thought I was the only one who felt this way about Jack. These photos are wonderful. Some of them I have in my collection but most of them I don't. Sure am enjoying them! Keep 'em coming!

I recently learned from an E-Mail from WGN that beginning Sunday September 18 they will be showing Hawaii Five-O at 3:30 a.m. I guess it would be more like early Monday morning. It has finally paid off E-mailing WGN and complaining about taking the best show of the air. Please don't stop sending them your comments and maybe the will start showing more Hawaii Five-O at better time slots. Until then I will have my VCR ready to record those early morning episodes!!!Aloha
