Hawaii Five-O is by far the greatest television series to ever be projected onto a screen. This show had the best cast, crew, and writers available. Jack Lord created the most memorable TV role in the history of television. There will never be another show with the action, drama, and suspense that Hawaii Five-O had. James MacArthur, Zulu, Kam Fong, Al Harrington, and of course "WO FAT" made this show exciting and believable. There was such good onscreen chemistry between the characters. Every time I sit down and watch a show, I want to stand up and cheer because I am watching a work of art and a piece of history.

Thank you for your comment Alison. Wo Fat (Khigh Dhiegh aka Kenneth Dickerson) was my grandfather. Some of the information they have about him is wrong ( like his nationality ). But I'm glad he is still remembered. (Please get in touch with me by e-mail, so I can fix these mistakes. -- MQ) Sincerely Letitia

Wonderful site. Your episode guide is very helpful and entertaining. I also like the Mad and Cracked Magazine parodies.

Great site. Does anyone have any information on the writer of three H50 episodes Jack Turley? He wrote #36-The Joker's Wild..., #45-Nightmare Road, and #48-Kiss the Queen Goodbye. Any information would be appreciated.

Still reflecting on the passing of Jack Lord - I guess that's a testament to the true impact of his character. Book 'em, St. Peter.

NOW THAT JACK AND RICHARD ARE IN HEAVEN THEY ARE PROBABLY TALKING ABOUT THE OLD DAYS WHEN THEY WERE ON TV TOGETHER.

I was very sad to hear of Jack Lord's passing and was very angry at the media and how it was handled here in the mainland . Because of the scandal of President Clinton no news of Jack Lord's passing away was announced and I find this an abomination that he should be treated in such a manner. My children called me to tell me he had died and it came as a shock to me. He will be sorely missed and will forever be known as one of Hawaii's own. Thanks for all the great years . Sincerly Despo Pullaro

I too was saddened upon hearing the news that Richard Denning had passed away. He was a wonderful actor and was absolutely great as the Governor of Hawaii. He was the ONLY character that could keep McGarrett in line and I always enjoyed seeing the glee in his eyes when he did just that! As each year passes it seems we lose more and more handsome and talented actors and as far as I'm concerned, Richard and Jack were two of the greatest. RIP Richard and my sincerest sympathies to the Denning family.

Rest in Peace Richard Denning, our thoughts are with your family. Say hullo to Steve and Wo Fat for me. You have enough now to start your own Heaven-Five-0. Aloha, Enis

In most Hawaii Five 0 episodes the Governor would summon McGarrett, it seems that this weekend McGarrett summoned the Governor..and we lost a friend. RIP Governor and say Hi to Jack for us.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Richard Denning's wife, children and grandchildren. I loved Mr. Denning as the Governor on Hawaii Five O (always truthful, wise, dedicated, concerned, and let's not forget, dashing). He'll be deeply missed by the fans and never forgotten. Paradise has just welcomed another angel. Aloha Likeke

The episodes on WGN are NOT the same as the FAM channel episodes. They are the same as the ones currently running on our local station, KDOC, Channel 56 in Anaheim, CA. They are heavily edited, but not as heavily as the FAM channel, and many of the scenes are different. They have taken out some on the FAM ones and put in other scenes. So if all you have is the FAM channel ones, you'd better tape the WGN ones because there are a lot of good scenes that are not on the FAM ones. There is a hilarious scene in "Pray Love Remember, Pray Love Remember," where McGarrett asks them to get him a bucket and Dano looks at Kono and says, "Don't look at me - get him a bucket." It's the one where we get the phrase, "Peace and Joy, strong brother." So catch these if you don't have them!

I grew up watching the show, and liked the realistic plots. Today's shows can't even touch it. Even though we will always miss him, we can still watch the great re-runs every night.

Great site Mike. You're right it's entirely more than I really wanted to know...but I was out on the front step with Randa, and we decided that we were gonna say 'book'm Danno' to everyone we met today

Jack Lord's character was a hero to many people growing up in the 1970s because of his intellect, expertise, sense of class and style, and his ability to make the right decisions quickly and effectively. His analytical mind and no nonsense approach is admirable and a good role model to future leaders. What a fitting legacy Jack Lord has left! Michael J. Caulfield Denver, Colorado

Prior to start of Hawaii Five-O casting its co-stars.. I was with friends in the "Hale Ho" where "Zulu" was performing... In walked Jack Lord to check out Zulu's show... The rest is history... "Big Z" became a regular co-star... As for myself, was an "extra" on several episodes... Also, in an apartment that I rented in Maikiki -- a "Jack Lord" painting hung on the wall... It was the owner of the rental who was a friend of Mr. Lord. Hawaii Five-O days were "da kine" best days... Aloha

Fantastic web site! I was just a kid when 5-0 first aired, and I'll never forget the episode "Three Dead Cows At Makapuu". I was scared for months afterwards thinking we were all going to die. I never saw that episode again until it aired on the Family Channel. I also just received my second tape from Columbia House and hope they continue with the entire series. My favorite character? Wo Fat, of course!
