Im a retired Honolulu Police Officer, now living on the mainland. Im stoked to have old episodes of Hawai'i 5-0 available for watching anytime other than 4 a.m.! It feels like a short trip home to Hawai'i.

I am watching ALL of the DVDs. They bring back such good memories of a marvelous TV series and my main man, Jack Lord.

Glad to hear that S-3 will be out soon; would have been nice to have it by Christmas, but we'll take Jan. I watched "Run Johnny Run" again, and you're right - it IS Al Michaels! Would love to hear what his comments on working with Jack, etc. are. Anyone have any idea on what the Special Features for S-3 will be yet? (old CBS network promos, more of the "next week: be here, aloha.", etc.) or has CBS/Paramount decided & announced yet? Can't wait. So... Jan. 22, '08... almost 10 years to the day that Jack left us... be there. Aloha.

A lovely, affectionate and extensive site with many genuine treasures. Nothing to top that theme and title sequence in all these years since and the show itself was a winner, especially in the early seasons. Thank you from a young 44yr old for all your time and effort.

I for one am not enthusiastic at all about any remake of Five O [or most other classic tv shows]. Dr. Phil mentioned about 'Bored' being on the Ozzy DVD release. Still waiting here in U.K. for season 2 [29th Oct]. 'Bored' is listed on amazon.co.uk, but we won't know till the release if it's included. I'll have to wait even longer to find out, as I'll be away in the far-east for a few weeks from end of oct! Was hoping to go via Hawaii, but it wasn't to be! :>[ Australia is region 3 I think, though Oz company 'Umbrella' on umbrellaent.au has lots of classic tv stuff on region 4 [universal]. Not sure about Five O over there. Europe is region 2 [Pal] where Japan is region 2 [NTSC]. In a nutshell, if it's region 2 or 3 you won't be able to play it on a standard region 1 player. Many Dvd players here in Europe are multi-regional these days, though my 'old' model is region 2 only. Cheers. Bill http://www.freewebs.com/thepersuadersreviews

Hello all, I'm so glad to hear that Five-O Season 3 is going o be out January 22nd 2008. We can now figure that if CBS releases Season 4 it should be out May or June 2008 time frame. I'm wondering if Bored She Hung Herself that is being released in Australia will work on the USA DVD players? I would love to see that again.

An observation about a scene in Season 2's "The Devil and Mr. Frog"; doesn't that look like a CBS envelope in the visor of the car Gainham drives to the beach in Act 4?

That's kind of weird-- I didn't know that a sportscaster had a cameo role (albeit a small one) in a "Five-O" episode.

If you look closely at the 2nd Season, Episode #40 "Run Johnny, Run" the lawyer who comes into John Mala's (Nephi Hanneman) cell with McGarrett there is Al Michaels...Monday Night Football, Miracle On Ice 1980, etc! Watch his face and body language...I understand why he's an announcer now and not an actor. Anyway, it's a fun moment, no harm intended Al! The DVD's are beautiful and a great series to once again watch and enjoy!

In episode 21 "not that much difference" you see the peace magazine. If you look good you can see Jim Morrison of the Doors on he cover.

I just saw on the front page what S3 of "Hawaii Five-O" is supposed to look like. Looks pretty appealing-- I might like to get it.

Thanks for reopening the guestbook. The DVD's are good but I sure wish they would release them faster, like three a year instead of two. Could they be encouraged to move a little faster? At this rate we won't have all the seasons for six years.

Mike and Readers: Upon going ALL through the I-net today, I noticed that at Ebay they have the Un-edited Season II down in Australia, with 'Bored She Hung Herself. It's $64au for each plus $10au for shipping to anywhere in the world. [What is the Ebay number for this item? If you look up this second season box set at an Australian DVD dealer like www.ezydvd.com.au, it does list "Bored," but then so did numerous North American sites up to (and even after) the release of the DVD here. (The release date for Australia is November 8.) The total time for this Australian box set, by the way, is 1175 mins which is considerably less than the time reported at amazon.com for the same thing. - MQ] Also, Barbara Brindle and I have gotten several of the 'bootleg' DVD packs. One has 31 DVDs, professionally typed with episodes on the DVDs and the first I got was 29 DVDs with a 'sharpie' written pen marking all, 1-29. There are 7 12th season episodes per the last two disks. 284 in syndication episodes (that includes all two parters and of course Cocoon. I got Karen Rhodes paperback version of the 'Booking H 5-0' and it still has the same errors as before. Maybe the Florida sun will agree with her and she'll eventually get them corrected. [Karen Rhodes has been out of Five-O fandom for several years. Questions about the book should be directed to its publisher. If you have a list of "corrections," I would be interested in seeing this and maybe posting it on the site somewhere. - MQ] Signed, the 5-0 Perfectionist, Rich 'Ke'ali'i' Salzer. p.s. i JUST GOT BACK FROM A u/h FOOTBALL GAME AND O'AHU. Take Care...

I have just added 7 new images to the "Hawaii Five-O" S1 entry on Amazon. I'd like to hear what you think of them.
