Hawaii Five-O was by far one of the best shows I ever watched. WGN were fools to take it off the morning programming. I encourage every true Five-O fan to email WGN voicing their concern. Lets do it for Danno, Kono, Chin-Ho, and most important, lets do it for Jack. Five-O Forever

AS A FAN OF JACK LORD STILL KINDA HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS GONE. SOMETIMES I WONDER WHAT MY LIFE WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE IF I HAD MET JACK LORD. HE IS IN HEAVEN LOOKING DOWN AS WE TO GET THROUGH WHAT HAPPEN ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001. WITH JACK BEING IN HEAVEN I TAKE HIM AS MY GUARDIAN ANGEL. THOSE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN NEW YORK, WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA PROBABLY TELLING JACK LORD ABOUT HOW THERE ENDED SO SHORT.

Does anyone have any beta tapes or VHS tapes of 5-0 episodes from the original CBS prime time run by chance? I'm also looking for a copy of M Station Hawaii. Does anybody have any CBS promos of 5-0 or M Station Hawaii or interviews with Jack Lord? If so please let me know! Mahalo! Aj Ajm@lava.net

I have been a fan since I was a kid and don't see how the new movie can come close to the series. There will only be one McGarret. I think the first year of the series was the best, something about the 60's, thin ties and the underdeveloped street scenes made this show unique.

Something I remember from "The Jinn Who Clears The Way," #101. After being taken into McGarrett's office, Wo Fat remarks something like "I suspect I should be grateful for the abolition of capital punishment." (This was shortly after the United States Supreme Court had issued an opinion declaring the death penalty, as it was then applied, unconsitutional in all states.) But Hawaii hasn't had a death penalty since at least statehood in 1959. Had Wo Fat been active in some other state, or had he violated the Federal death-penalty laws somewhere?

Slight error about Robert Janes (writer, M Station: Hawaii). He actually joined the show at the start of the tenth season and turned in some fine scripts as Up The Rebels, A Death In The Family, A Very Personal Matter, and the first three Tony Alika shows (Number One With a Bullet, Stringer, A Lion in the Streets). After Who Says Cops Don't Cry?, the first Lori Wilson show, the last good writer for the show departed and it was all over but the scoring.

Most people (including Mike Quigley and myself) say Hawaii Five-O's last prime-time telecast was on April 5, 1980, with the finale "Woe to Wo Fat." CBS wanted to end on the high ratings a McGarrett-Wo Fat reunion would draw (I don't know what Five-O drew; however, the two CBS series bracketing it -- Tim Conway and Hagen -- both hit their all-time ratings highs that night.) The Complete Directory to Prime-Time Network Television Series gives the last telecast as being on April 26. A TV Guide for that date lists a repeat of "Good Help Is Hard To Find," #266, airing that night.

Just discovered this website. I've been having a great time browsing and reminiscing, not just about story plots, but also all the times we (local residents) got to watch a shoot if we happened to be at a "location". I've been mere yards away from Jack Lord! (Ooo, the thrill.) Now I have a question: was wondering if it's possible to obtain information about bit-players in any given episode--at least their names from the credits for their bits? Lots of local folks had the opportunity to appear in Five-0 episodes over the years of its filming--including my son. Unfortunately, it was in the days before video equipment became available, so of course my son's "big moment" went unrecorded when it was televised. He was 10 years old in those days (1980), and although it's no big t'ing to him, it is to me, his mama, and my grandchildren! One last word, for what it's worth: after spending hours on location, having the scene shot and re-shot endlessly, we eagerly awaited the day that the episode would air. All friends and family were informed of the big day. We watched with great anticipation. And as it turned out, had you blinked when the scene finally showed, you would've missed my son altogether! All those hours of work were reduced to a longshot lasting 5 seconds. But I'm a proud mama anyway!

I have been a Five O fan for a long time and I'm enjoying the re-runs which are presently showing over here in the UK. I have a question. When 'guests' writing to this site do have a query, do they get answered? Perhaps I'm not looking properly but I can't see any answers to queries!!!!!!!! My favourite actor is Jack Lord and only he can play McGarret. But if someone has to do the job I think Michael Biehen could do it. Take care all. Susan
