As regrettable as Season 12 of Five-O is, there are a few bright spots. #1, subjectively is TRUCk. He added the most kind Hawaiian Spice the show since Ben got axed after Season 7. The other is the episode where McG acts nasty to everyone, dressing them down and showing (IMO) the first sigs of Alzheimer's. As fun as that sounds, the season is a real downer. Danno is gone and is replaced by a true meathead named Kemo. Duke seems spent in almost every episode he appears in, and the last episode ever is preposterous, although seeing Wo-Fat behind bars with a metal file is classic. I'll get it to round out the collection but to my knowledge, I have never viewed a Season 12 episode twice.

I have finished watching all three seasons on DVD, and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them all over again. Since I grew up watching this series as a kid, I am looking forward to ultimately owning all 12 seasons on DVD within the next few years.

Due to the latest writer's strike, my husband and I finally wathced Season 1. It was a great dvd. The sound and picture were perfect. This was worth waiting for. We are still looking to locate the special bonus feature of the Hawaii Five o Reunion show that was done in the late 90's. This is a great dvd and I can not wait to watch the next one.

In hte episode "The Bomber and Mrs Moroney" there is a scene where McG is speaking into a phone in front of the drapes with his BACK to the camera! This has got to be a stand-in, knowing Jack's penchant for face time. There are other scenes of him talking to Danno or listening to the happenings in the office LIVE but this is the only one where you don't see his face. First time I saw the episode myself, I don't believe it was part of any syndication package.

In the Nancy Wilson episode,"Trouble in mInd" she sings "Spinning Wheel" which is an interesting bit of cross-promotion as Blood Sweat and Tears the originators of the song were one of the top acts on Columbia Records and in those days CBS/Columbia were part of the same corporate family. "what goes up/must come down"

I think the PERFECT replacement for the role of Steve MacGarrett would be actor THOMAS GIBSON. CHECK OUT HIS PERFORMANCE ON "CRIMINAL MINDS". If EVER there were the PERFECT replacement for Jack Lord, GIBSON IS THE ONE! Gibson has the following credentials: 1) Similar stature and mannerisms. 2) Similar role presentation. 3) Similar age and physical appearance. 4) Similar method of acting; presents a stoic and disciplined representation of role. DO YOU GUYS GET IT? Any responses? I think I'm RIGHT. He even excites me the same way Jack Lord did when I was a teenager watching the original 5-0. By the way, their voices are incredibly similar. Mr. Lord sure (and STILL does) gives this girl her share of drooling and much more... By the way, I have a legal services and investigative business in Sacramento. See what he did to me?!

Hawaii five O is being shown in our area (Roanoke, Va) at 9pm on 13-2. They don't chop the show and have even thrown in old time commercials! Great to see the show continuing.

I hope CBS will include in Season 5 Hawaii Public Television's show "Hawaii Now: Hawaii Five 0" which gave a behind the scenes look at the making of the series. It's appropriate as it was made in April '72 during the filming of Season 5.

I'm thrilled that "Hawaii Five-O" seasons are being released in their full seasons and within months of each other rather than having us wait a year or more between seasons to be released! Jack Lord was born to play McGarrett and his team (James MacArthur, Zulu, Kam Fong) gave solid supporting work as well. Please keep us posted when a new season will be released because I'm hoping to own them all someday!! Jack Lord is missed immensely!! You won't see police dramas like this on t.v. anymore -- particularly in an era of nonstop reality shows!! Thanks for this site and keeping us informed on DVD releases and comments on each episode!!

I thrill to delight with each and every glorious season of 5-0 that is released on DVD. It really raises the show to the level of "art" and makes a case for the greatest of all tv cop shows, past and present. The reasons are obvious to the already initiated but suffice to say, there is nothing like slowing down McG as he is barking orders to all and sundry, making it clear it is his universe, and we just along for the ride. Smashing stuff, now I have a reason to got to BestBuy every five months. Aloha

A friend of mine who is a Five-O fan just like me heard through the grapevine that CBS plans to release Season 5 mid November. I'm looking forward that day.

Does anyone think they can release three dvds this year. I don't see why season 5 can't be here by november. This is why i beleve it could happen. season 3 was released in january and season 4 will be released in june and they are five months apart and so it would be five months in november for season five or at least by the christmas season . Is there anyone out there that agrees with me.

I just received season 3. On four to five episodes the volume sound track is very low even with my devices at the highest volume setting. Has anyone else had this audio problem. Most DVD's are fine, some are not. At any rate I'm glad to have them. One of the greatest well written and directed shows of all time! Aloha fans! This website is the crown jewel of Hawaii Five-O links. Anybody got any ideas on different "Five-O" license plate arrangements for my car? Thanks Fans!
