I recently saw a news article that said another pilot episode for telivision will be filmed. I was wondering if there will be a box office movie or a new TV series or both. Also, I belive no one can replace the great Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett. However, I think the best candidate to play McGarrett would be Mel Gibson. I think he has the experience acting in big movies, also, playing a tought cop comes natural to him. Do you agree with this opinion Mike? By the way, this is the best Five-O website on the net. I am only 18 years old, but I love the show. All of the Five-O fans appreciate your efforts and keep up the outstanding sight.

Mike, your web site is fantastic! I, like so many others, am a loyal Jack Lord and H50 fan. Can'T GET ENOUGH OF EITHER ONE. As for the movie, I'm a die hart, and don't feel anyone can fill the shoes of any of those actors. Thanks, Mike. Aloha, Donna

Bad news! Starting next week Hawaii Five-O will only be on WGN once a week instead of 6 times. Voice your complaints to WGN - 2501 W Bradley Pl Chicago IL 60618 Attention: Bob Ramsey Program Director

I've just seen your letters page for the 1st time, I don't really know what discussion I have come in to, but as a Jack Lord fan - Keanu Reaves as McGarrett - Please no, the thought leaves me cringing. Recently I watched the mini-series 'Asteriod' the part played by American Actor Michael Biehen reminded me of 'McGarret', and Michael played it so well. I know he is fair haired, but he's my choice. Looking forward to seeing the new 'Five 0' film, but no one can really replace Jack Lord in my eyes.

My husband & I watch the reruns on WGN every day. We love everything about the show. I agree that some of the editing is bad. It would be great if TV Land would pick it up. As long as it is on every day somewhere we'll be happy.

I had the very great pleasure to meet Jack and Marie in 1982. In Woolworths (of all places). Jack Lord was the kindest person I ever met.He took the time to talk to me as if we were old friends. I am proud to have met him and his wife. He was also kind enough to give me his autograph. It is one of my most prized possesions. He truly was "one in a million".

His performances were the personification of charisma; his looks were the epitome of being handsome; his very private, rather reclusive life, just adds to the enigma of this very talented performer who greatly contributed to TV and films; his artwork paintings enamored by so many. I miss Jack Lord and although I don't have his gorgeous Irish face, at least each day when I look in the mirror, I think of him because I was blessed with his elegant healthy hair, and I wear it exactly like he did.

The web site makes a statement regarding the existence of a Hawaii state police that is in error. (....No state police agency exists"....) The Hawaii State Sheriff's department is/was (among other things) responsible for the safety and security of all courthouses in Honolulu, at least, if not the entire state. Submitted by a former Honolulu Police officer....

We must buck up and face it! John Joesph Patrick Ryan (Jack Lord) is gone! With the new movie inevitible! Phase in the old Characters from retirement off and on in the show and bring any stiff upper lipped character that will enhance the motion picture. I really believe it should be a whole new set of fresh new characters and this will bring on the crowds that loved the past series. Thats what I would do! Respectfully! A Hawaii Five-O super fan and will always be.

Jack Lord was perhaps the greatest television actor of all time. I loved the show: the scenery, the music, the acting! I do have a question: were Jack Lord and James MacArthur friends in real life?

Nick at Nite and TV Land are basically one-and-the-same ownership-wise, hence they have a unified website: www.nick-at-nite.com. Happy viewing!
