Has anyone noticed how KDOC Channel 10, here in Los Angeles, butchers the Hawaii Five-O episodes? They don't even show the wave going into commercials! Come on guys, this is part of the shows personality! They sometimes even go to commercials before a character finishes his line!!? I would like to obtain all of the Hawaii Five-0 episodes. KDOC shows the same 20 or so, over and over. I became a big fan in the early 80's during my college days, but I can still remember my family watching Hawaii Five-0 when I was just a young kid. I thought the show started to lose its quality after the 1974 season. The epsiodes just are not as good as the earlier ones. I realized this long before I knew Leonard Freeman died that year. Coincidence??

If the movie ever happens, hopefully it will live up to its potential. It could be effective as a representation of the 1970s or as a representation of the present day. No one can ever play McGarrett the way Jack Lord did, but the following might be able to pull it off: George Clooney, Michael Keaton, and Christopher Meloni (plays Elliot Stabler on Law & Order - Special Victims Unit). For Danno, Mark Wahlberg would be the best as far as I'm concerned. All of us who have visited this site are very fortunate to have experienced the brilliance of 5-0, everyone else is missing out.

I do not mean to sound redundant, but if this Hawaii Five-O movie ever gets Produced? I agree with the fans who say that nobody can play "Steve MaGarrett except Jack Lord"and nobody could ever play "Danno except James MacAurther"and nobody could ever play the rest of the cast, except the originals. We also know that Police Deptment's as well as Law Enforcement Agencies like the FBI,DEA an the US Marshals Service etc. will remain in tact for decades, while theier Detectives and all other employees will come and go over the years, due to retirements, and new recruits etc. When it comes down to reality. Nobody including "Steve McGarrett" as good as he was, would remain a Detective and an employee of the state of Hawaii and it's fictional Five-O Unit forever in the real world.Even McGarrett would eventually get to old to perform and would have retire under state Civil Service Rules. If and when a Five-O movie is ever made? I suggest to Mr.G Litto and Rose Freeman to take reality into consideration and make the movie about the Five-O Unit of today, with a whole new cast of character's with a new head of Five-O. In honor of Jack Lord and the casts of the series,There should be some flashbacks from the series to include all of the original cast spliced into the motion pictior. "Harrision Ford"should be the first choice to be head of the Five-O Unit of Today. If not Harrison Ford, next in line could be "Tommy Lee Jones, returning as his character Sam Gerard" from "The Fugutive and US Marshals" transfered to Five-O, which does happen in the real world,or a simular like character? The new Five-O Team should include a women. Maybe "Marry Mara" who Played Inspector Bryn Carson in the first two seasons of Nash Bridges,or Holly Hunter,Kelly Hu or possibly Lucy Liu from "Charlies Angles? "Don Johnson from Miami Vice and the recently cancelled Nash Bridges could even be considered as the head of Five-O in the Movie? either way, hope the new movie is filmed within the next year or two.

Why don't we take a vote for the best 5-0 episode ever? You could set up a web page and voting mechanism, narrow it down to the top 5 and then have a final vote. Just an idea, and this is a great web site.

No one, I mean no one, can play Steve McGarrett like Jack Lord. No one can play Dano or Chin Ho like the orginal cast.If anyone tries to do a movie of Five-O it will be a flop. Just enjoy the reruns. Aloha!

Hawaii Five O is without a doubt one of the greatest shows ever made. Incredible show. I think Jackie Chan would be great as Chin Ho. Alec Baldwin would make a pretty decent Steve McGarret. How about Brad Pitt as Danno?

I became a Five-Oer when I was nine.I love Sherlock Holmes so it was no trouble to slip in to the story as McGarret was so like Holmes and Wo Fat as the nefarious Professor Moriarty."Nine Dragons" was my first episode I saw and it remains my favorite.I should mention to you that it was a rerun at 1:00am as I am now only fifteen, but I love them just as much as my grandfather and may countless generations come to love the phrase, "Book'em,Danno!"

I watched 5-o since it first aired. Back in the 60's, it was very innovative and stylish. I really hope there is no movie made, because NO ONE could take Jack Lord's place. He was a true original. No one could be as arrogant, snooty and cock-sure as Steve McGarret and pull it off without looking rediculous. I just found this site, it's really great and I plan to visit again. Thanks to all!
