~ ~ Sure enough, "Bored, She Hung Herself", was omitted from Season 2! Since we live in the United States of the Offended, such program matter is just too sensitive for some people's delicate minds. It seems that we all will be EDITED from the planet one day. I have an idea. EDITORS, begin with YOURSELVES! What a bummer, I wanted the ENTIRE 'Hawaii Five-0' production run of all twelve seasons of which would have included EVERY second of EVERY episode EVER produced. We have been told AGAIN, what we can, or cannot have, by the "powers-to-be"! SHAME on CBS, or Paramount, or Viacom, or all of the aforementioned, and/or ANYONE personally involved in this travisty of keeping from us TRUE fans of the show, it's FULL contents! If people are offended by others hanging themselves in "BSHH", then I suggest to those individuals; DON'T WATCH! If someone gets the idea to kill themselves, I'm sure that those persons would have some very DEEP, despondant issues (may God help them), and that by merely watching a TV episode wouldn't be what solely triggers such tragic events! C'mon CBS/Paramount, REISSUE season 2 with "Bored", I'll buy another set IF that episode is included. Then, I'll give this set to someone that doesn't mind having a BROKEN set, such as a not-so-demanding TRUE fan of 'Hawaii Five-0', such as I! I'm sure I speak for many other dedicated fans, of the BEST "cop show" to ever be produced. I rest (for now). McGarrett, we need your investigative savvy! ALOHA!

I watched the show when I was a little girl and dreamed of visiting Hawaii. My first visit was in 1985 and I met James Macarthur on American Airlines enroute to Honolulu, HI in the air. Thanks for all the priceless memories!

I got this for Father's Day from my son and have loved watching it ever since. The show and the character played by Jack Lord, Steve McGarret was a favorite of mine while growing up. I have watched 6 episodes so far and they are great! I am looking forward to the 2nd season

I think they should just release the entire seasons as originally made. Compared to what is on television these days and in the movies, nothing in Hawaii Five-0 is offensive. I don't think I ever missed a show. I loved it and still do.

Disconcerting, to say the least, if Paramount is going to start editing the episodes. I notice that the 1st season is billed as "The Complete First Season" and the 2nd season as "The Second Season"--it's sad if BSHH is missing; however it's almost criminal if available episodes are snipped here and there.

I ordered the 'new' edition of Karen Rhodes book 2 months ago, but amazon.co.uk told me there has been some delay. Look forward to getting it! It seems the vast majority of people are not happy with the ommision of 'Bored she hung herself' and the expected 'edits'. I'll be watching this guestpage/web-site closely the next few days to find out if it is indeed the case. On this side of the Atlantic we still await the release date for the region 2 set! Very frustating! Bill http://www.freewebs.com/thepersuadersreviews

I am disapointed to read that the upcoming dvd will not include bored she hung herself. The release of these dvds allows me to see ever show now it seems i will never get the chance. I had watched the show a few times when i was little but have seen more shows since I becoming an adult. If it wasn't for Karen Rhodes book booking Hawaii Five-0 I would never know or your web site mike that the syndication package didn't include all 284 Episodes. if anyone reading this has never read this book and is a big fan of the show i would recommend it.

I too am very concerned about season two edits. I can understand not releasing Bored, however the rest of the episodes should be complete. I checked Amazon and the total run time for the DVD's is 1270 minutes. If we divide the remaining 24 episodes into this time we get almost 53 minutes per episode. Not sure if there are any extras but if not looks like they may be complete episodes or very, very minor edits from the time listed. Just an educated guess though...

I really think they should just release the whole season regardless of editing the episodes. My brother and I have always been huge fans of the H-50 series and we really love seeing it. It just won't be the same if any bits are edited out...

I'm really disappointed by not having "Bored she Hung herself". And also, some of the episodes are "edited"! The 1st Season Box set was so good. What's going on with Paramount. This is the same company that stopped one of my other favorite sitcoms "Taxi" by only releasing 3 of the 5 years on DVD.

Aloha. I am a second-generation Five-O fan (my mom loves it, too), and we have been enjoying Season 1. I have e-mailed Viacom (CBS/Paramount's corporate parent) and a couple of outlets that review DVDs on television to see if they might send some more information.....I have to believe CBS/Paramount would have put out official information if there were any changes. It wouldn't seem logical, either, that they'd chop Season 2 after doing such a great job on Season 1. I've never heard of such a thing, either.

None of this better be true(Season 2 rumors)I want Bored and all the other episodes unedited! I had a bad feeling about this type of corporate intervention (ref my May 16 entry).I was under the impression that season 1 sales were strong. What about it Mike ?. Bottom of the 9th,down 3, bases juiced,3/2 count, 100 mph heater on the way, what'a we got?

I'm happy that H-50 season 2 is about to be released. Season 1 was great! I can live with it if "Bored, She Hung Herself" is not included in #2. I can not/will not live with "edited" episodes! I'll buy season 2 but if any including just 1 is less than a full episode, I'll save my money and stick with my bootleg tv dubs.

Just a cautionary note; I have never seen the outside of a boxed DVD set state that "such-and-such" is NOT included and that some episodes may be edited. [I'm sure you have seen the outside of a box, either VHS or DVD, say words to the effect "This movie has been reformatted to fit your screen" where it is not the widescreen version. - MQ] Perhaps the tv.com posting is a hoax. I hope Mike Q. (and perhaps Gord Lacey at tvshowsondvd.com) can check on this and give us some good info. If BSHH is not included and some shows are edited, then I certainly will not purchase the set.

According to TV.com [Click on this link - MQ], "Bored, She Hung Herself" will NOT be included on the second season set: I recently received an advanced copy of the Hawaii Five-O Season 2 DVD and the set is missing the episode "Bored, She Hung Herself." The box states: "The Second Season Episode "Bored, She Hung Herself" aired only once and is not included in this set. Some episodes may be edited from their original network versions." So Paramount strikes again. Not only is it missing an episode, but the studio cheaped out and used the syndicated versions."

Has CBS/Paramount said what special features will be on the Season 2 set? or does anyone know? like say, an old CBS network promo for the show? That would be neat. Just wondering...

Like everyone in the 5-0 family, i had waited patiently, checking this site, for updates on the DVD release. Frustration level peaked when i witnessed the ultimate injustice seeing "Doogie Howser MD" on DVD before 5-0! Well justice was ultimatley served and I have greatly enjoyed the excellent quality DVD's of season 1. No disapointments at all. Am eagerly anticipating season 2! Also very appreciative to the web site for your updates!

Seeing Hawaii 5-0 on DVD is such a treat! I had taped the reruns, but I could never get the colors right. This 1st season release is outstanding, and I am looking forward to the next one. I only wish there were more extras. I have never forgotten some of the best episodes, such as the Vachon trilogy, as well as the stories which had to do with the Vietnam war.

After being a fan growing up with Five-O and missing it, we just finished the first season on DVD. My wife and I love the old cop shows and Five-O is at the top of our list. We're waiting for the second season to be released at the end of the month. On another note, I restore vintage police cars and am seriously considering doing an HPD '70s cruiser. I'm in the process of trying to gather info to do just this. It will be a great tribute not only to the HPD, but to Five-O.

I would like to echo the other UK writers, hope we do not have to wait too long for this DVD, found it by accident whilst looking for NCIS latest, but have so enjoted this, takes me back to my youthfull days, and two great holidays in Hawaii, 1976, and 82. I was suprised just how good the writing was. Olive Millward, Exeter UK
