The Hawaii Five O movie is simple to do. I've seen every episode of the show and I'm addicted to it. Here's what you do. Make Danny Williams the governor of Hawaii, what essentially amounts to a cameo role. Then get one of these actors to play Steve McGarrett's son, the new head of five-o. These actors are Michael Douglas,George Clooney, Tommy Lee Jones, Ray Liotta, Kevin Costner, Bruce Greenwood. Somebody tell George Litto to e-mail me at john.tecce@verizon.net because I'll tell him how to do the script, cast the film, get the director, and make a blockbuster. If he doesn't want to contact me, have him contact Red Auerbach , the former Boston Celtics coach, and president. Hawaii Five -O was his favorite show. He'll tell George how to do it. Please listen to me George. I know every inch of that show.

I first saw Hawaii Five 0 at the age of 11yrs old in 1968. I was besotted with Jack Lord. Now in 2001, I have just started watching the series again on Sky Digital and I am reliving my own childhood memories as well as still enjoying the series. I was very sad to hear of Jack Lord's passing away. I hope one day to be able to visit his grave and pay my respects to a wonderful actor who brought many hours of happiness to my young life and has now started to do so again. Thank you. A warm greeting to his family. I am so pleased to be able to visit this site and find there are so many other people who feel as I do. I too would like to know if the series is out on video? Although I suppose one could tape the series from the television.

I love Jack Lord very much, my favourite episode was he became blind and when he was with his sister. I think that people who did screenplays should have gave him a girl-friend or a police woman with the same temper ! Thanks for this site. Bye ! Alex

New to the sight, where did the phrase "Book'em Danno" originally come from? Thanks!

Can anyone tell me when we will finally get to see those 30 un-aired Hawaii Five-O episodes? As you know, in each season during the production run, two or three complete episodes did not make it to our television screens. I have been salivating for decades in anticipation of viewing some never-before-seen H5Os. Forget about a possible movie, I want more of the original!

Love the site. Just a quick question, which I can't seem to send via email. We have a (rather complicated) dance as a tradition at our Uni (and others). It's to the theme music to Hawaii Five-0. It would appear that something similar may have developed in the states too, and I'm trying to track the origin. Can you help?

Does anybody else out there think that the movie would work better if it were set in the late 60's/early 70's. It would enable the filmmakers to capture a similar look and feel as the original and the clothes and hairstyles would still work. I would love to see that 68 Mercury burnin' rubber across the screen. What do you think?

Val Kilmer is the only actor with the character and background to approach the efforts of Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett.

Thanks to the cast of Hawaii Five-O for teaching good work ethics and portraying honest and respectable law enforcement officiers. In todays society, we need to be reminded that there are some terrific cops out there.

The characters on Hawaii Five-O can NEVER be redone by the actors of today!!! I think the idea of a 5-O movie is great, but if they had the names McGarret and Danno, it just wouldn't be right, and when they do movies with different actors than from the show, the result is almost comical. Here you are sitting in the theater pining away for a good old Hawaii Five-O, with Jack Lord and James McArthur, when all you get are aliens in their shoes. So in my opinion if there is a 5-O movie it should be with different character names. But then again, THAT might be comical too. PS- To everyone who thinks Jackie Chan would be a good idea for Hawaii Five-O, you are crazy!!!!!

With the success of Mission Impossible and Charlie's Angels, I think its about time to make "Hawaii Five-O, the Movie", which I predict will be a big hit, bigger than Untouchables, The Fugitive. With the right cast, story, budget, and promotions, this could be the hit of 2002, I think the producers should look for this project. The question is, who will play Steve Mc Garret? Who can play the role, the way Jack Lord played it, in a more dignified way! Before I think Kevin Costner will do the job, or how about Harrison Ford? John Travolta? Nicholas Cage? Ben Affleck? Bruce Willis? Andy Garcia? Pierce Brosnan? Sylvester Stallone? Arnold Scwarzenegger? Who else?

This show which aired in 1968 was the show that had a profound effect on my life I Joined the Navy in the fall of that year and was sent to Viet Nam which I discharged from in 1971 and then went into securiety guard for Wells Fargo from then on until 1975 when I was involved in an auto accident (a drunk hit me) and am not a smoking drinking person like the charecter was and do not use any of those to this very day even drugs. That show keept me clean, sober, and straight through some of the most difficult times in my life.
