I just visited Hawaii for the first time in July of this year and I loved it. I finally walked the streets Kono, Chin-Ho and Vashon walked. I wish I had a 68 Mercury Parlkane Broughm with no safety gear (air bags) to burn rubber in. Now I yearn for 5-O reruns but they are not running them in my area. Oh well. Mohalo for your site.

Well, I have been going through Hawaii 5-0 withdrawals here in the Seattle area since 1998 when the "Family Channel" got bought out and stopped airing it, and a local independent - KONG TV also stopped airing it. Then, I was channel surfing last Saturday and there were McGarret and Dano on KONG TV again (from 4 to 5 p.m.)! What a GREAT surprise. Unfortunately, after checking their listings Hawaii 5-0 is only 2 more Saturdays and then disappears again - what is the deal??? Amazon and Pensacola are both on twice per weekend, as well as nearly 18 hours of "paid programming" (jeeze how many people really buy an Abflex machine after watching the video 12 times). It sounds like these brilliant programming decisions are being made around the country. There is only one thing to say to whoever is taking Hawaii 5-0 off the air - Book 'em Dano, I said BOOK 'EM! Also, anyone heard of high quality Hawaii 5-0 episodes on DVD? Here's one for the TV Programming executives to ponder - how about Hawaii 5-0 via streaming broadband high speed internet....

When I was a small kid, I dreamed that I was Steve McGarrett's son and I would be by my daddy's side and trying to catch the bad guys. One day we (McGarrett, Williams ,Ben, Chin Ho Kelly & I)was sitting in McGarrett's office when who should turn him self in Wo Fatt himself.

I really started watching Hawaii 5-0 reruns just to see the Hawaiian scenery. I was pretty young when it originally ran on prime time and I don't remember it too well. If you're in the Twin Cities area the local Fox station (29-WFTC) shows Hawaii 5-0 at 3:00 am (Central Time) Tuesday through Saturday. (Or, if it's easier for you to think about it as very late night Monday. You're VCR will call it Tuesday, though.)

WAXN, Channel 64 in Charlotte has stopped showing 50 in the 10 a.m. slot and replaced it with, of all things, Perry Mason. Charlotte area fans who want to voice their displeasure can call WAXN at (704) 933-9529 or (704) 371-3123. Hopefully if all the 50 fans in the Charlotte area let the station know their feelings maybe they'll bring 50 back.

This may be a bit chouncy, but how about Leo DiCaprio as Dan-O? They seem to share that classic not-quite-dim bulb look.

Having lived in Hawaii--Makakilo, Mililani & Pearl City on the island of Oahu--from 1980-1985, it is *so* good to be able to see episodes of Hawaii Five-O on a local station (WWWB-34, the WB affiliate)here in Louisville. I'm currently looking for a 1968 Parklane Brougham, black of course. This website is *so* informative. There isn't one thing I can think of or find that it should have, but doesn't. Keep up the great work. Charlie

I am trying to find out how to get permission to use the name Hawaii Five-0. I know Mrs. Freeman and Mr. Litto own the rights. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with either one?

Hawaii Five-0, where do I start? It was and is the most memorable TV show for me. I grew up with it, planned my homework around it, watched it year round because the summer reruns were as good the 2nd time around. I never quibbled with plausibility and I never found myself bored. The show featured numerous guests who would go on to greater fame but it was their ability contributed to the quality. What can you say about Jack Lord and the rest. Lord was McGarrett and there was no other persona on TV that equalled his presence. I don't think there is such a character to this day. I don't live, eat and breath Hawaii Five-0 and I didn't when it was in its original run. I simply remember it, fondly, as the best TV series I've ever seen. Actually, I fear the making of a movie because I see no possibility of capturing the essence of the series. Is there really anyone who could be McGarrett? or Dan-O? or Chin Ho or Wo Fat? Not for this fan.

That is just great that the fans in Southern California can see H5O twice a day, but what about the rest of us that don't get to see it at all??? Is there any networks or cable tv going to run our much missed show?? Since it looks like WGN has some kind of special contract with the Matlock show!!! Who wants to watch Andy Griffith ten times a day when we could watch Jack Lord and James MacArthur?? E-mailing WGN obviously doesn't work. Maybe ole Matlock owns a piece of WGN!!!

My name is Steven G. Smith, Director of Marketing & Promotion for KDOC-TV, Los Angeles. Our TV station is seen in the Southern California area on Channel 56 and on local cable channels, check for listing. I came across your Hawaii 5-0 Guestbook and wanted to clarify that Hawaii 5-0 is "currently" shown Monday - Friday at 3pm and also Monday - Saturday at 8pm. Thanks for watching and enjoy Hawaii 5-O! Look for our website soon at www.kdoctv.com.

I'm glad to say the KDOC in L.A. put H50 back on at 3pm and 8pm, M-Sa. That's a big relief.

So what is the current status of the movie project. Unfortunately, no one seems to know much of anything. Here is a question for Mike. Is there any specific place for fans to send ideas about the movie that will be seen by the people that can do something about it? (Yeah, you can post them here! -- MQ) I, like everyone else, am very concerned about this project and the possibility that it may not do the original series justice. Mahalo.
